At first glance, it might seem like a mistake—or, as the joke currently circulating in design corridors suggests, the result of a moment when the printer simply ran out of ink. Cloud Dancer is, after all, an off-white shade.
This is a historic moment. It marks the first time a global color authority has selected a shade that, technically speaking, balances on the edge of being a "non-color." But is this choice truly a manifestation of a lack of creativity, or is it a genius reaction to the times we live in?
